Mouse cesarean? March 31, 2006

How on earth did someone get to this blog by searching the term "mouse cesarean"????

Now I know that in this post, discussing injecting human stem cells into an animal embryo, the term was used in the commentary.

But why, oh why, is someone googling mouse cesareans?

I guess if Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes can reproduce, and Jessica Simpson can adopt a child (please, somebody stop her!  I have visions of her carrying it around in a Louis Vuitton dog carrier – just another accessory for the hopelessly clueless who have more money than brains), then maybe Mickey & Minnie are out there doing their part for mousedom.

 Queen of the moonbats

Un-frickin-believable.  And there are people who hear them and go, "Yeah! Now we're talkin'!"

I am convinced that to be a Democrat, you have to have a complete and utter lack of shame.

To be able to get up in front of the cameras and just say whatever you think will get you noticed (and votes), when it contradicts what you've said before, AND to say it like you really mean it, takes a complete lack of moral fiber.

But then, we had the Clintons for eight years, so I don't know why this still bothers me.

Seriously, what is it with the Hollywood crowd?  Do they really believe half the stuff they spew, (see also Charlie Sheen and Alec Baldwin), or are they just like little kids, saying stuff for the shock value?

"I think Hillary Clinton is fantastic. But I think it is too soon for her to run. This may sound odd, but a woman should be past her sexuality when she runs. Hillary still has sexual power and I don't think people will accept that. It's too threatening." –Sharon Stone in "Hollywood Life" magazine.

What's next?  Is Helen Thomas too sexy for her steno pad?  Or Janet Reno too sexy for … Oh, hell. Now I need a barf bag.

 From A Soldier’s Perspective:

Letter Writing Request

Blogged in Military Perspective by CJ Friday March 3, 2006

SGT Rickey Jones
Army SGT Rickey Jones, 21, of Kokomo, Ind; killed Feb. 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during patrol operations in Hawijah, Iraq

I am trying to help organize a letter writing campaign to the family of SGT Rickey Jones. As you may have read earlier, their home was vandalized by idiots who wouldn’t understand patriotism if it flew a plane through their bedroom window.

If you own a blog, please post this effort on your respective blogs and ask your readers to post it on their blogs. If you are as disgusted as I am and would like to write a letter to have delivered to this family, please email Lauren (MyWay716@aol.com) for more information. The good people over at Operation Military Pride are helping facilitate the delivery of these letters.

This family recently lost a son and shouldn’t have to deal with people like Fred Phelps and the people responsible for the egging of their home and irreverent phone calls. If you feel the same way I do, please email her and write this family a letter of support and love. Let them know that we appreciate their son’s service and mourn their loss. Let’s show them what America is really made of. This isn’t about whether or not you support the war. This is about common decency for a family that has suffered the ultimate sacrifice…having to bury a child. Thank you in advance. When this is over, I want the post office to have to hire new postmen just to handle the volume. Yes, it’s a challenge, as LinkedinUSAF would say.

Please, please, please – if you can spare a moment to drop this family a note of support, do so.  I can’t imagine the pain of losing a child, much less to have to deal with vandalism and harrassment on top of that.

Some funny stuff… March 3, 2006

From Newsbusters.org: Ginsburg Falls Asleep: Media Pretend Not to Notice

It’s a question that has been asked many times: If Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell asleep during a case, would the media notice? The answer, apparently, is no. On March 1, the Supreme Court heard arguments on the constitutionality of a Texas redistricting plan. One only has to look at the accompanying graphic to see how exciting Justice Ginsburg found the case.  Read the rest.

From Plancks Constant: How the world looks when you’ve created nothing: Islam

The dinocrat poses the question,”How does the modern world look when you have done nothing to help create it, and innovation is a threat to cherished beliefs?” The blog points out that America patents hundreds of thousands of inventions a year whereas the entire Muslim world has only a handful in its entire history. Read the rest.

From One Cosmos: Cultural Sensitivity 101

… I’ve assembled a list of “wise old Islamic sayings” from the book that I think are particularly relevant to our discussion. These are almost “cliches” in the Muslim world, but they are probably new to you:

Sticks and stones will break your bones if your words should ever humiliate me.

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try to blame the Jews.

Fool me once, death to you. Fool me twice? I don’t think so.

…and you just know it isn’t gonna be pretty…

From MY Vast Right Wing Conspiracy:

Cindy Sheehan Wants The Troops To Die, Just Won’t Be Protesting

In the frenzy and excitement of my trip to France and Germany, some well meaning pacifists in the area have scheduled me to set up a Camp Casey outside of Landsthul, Germany, in front of the military hospital. I won’t agree to do that.

The Camp Casey movement is pro-peace and pro-soldier. We love our troops so much that we want them to come home alive from the fiasco in the Middle East.

Camp Caseys have been set up all over the USA and the world and they are set up in front of the seats of power. The politicians and the war machine got us into this war, our soldiers are trying to protect each other and do the best that they can do under horrifically difficult circumstances.

The Camp Casey in Germany could be moved to a place where people with decision making power can see it. The soldiers have very little to say in their fates after they enlist (which is an entirely different subject) but especially the ones who have already been wounded in the service of their country…no matter how evil and greed-serving the phony mission is.

Let’s see now, Cindy – Evil?  Greed serving?  Phony?  Awww, you’ve been looking in the mirror again, haven’t you?

Funny, isn’t it, how the story of Saddam’s taped conversations that ABC got hold of has simply … disappeared.

Fortunately, Jim at @Large is on top of things: (Thanks to Kobayashi Maru)

ABC Spikes General Sada

I’ve attended a remarkable weekend retreat, helping to host some great Christian leaders, including Dr. Terry Law, author Stephen Mansfield (The Faith of George W. Bush, The Faith of the American Soldier), and General Georges Sada (Saddam’s Secrets).

[snip]

General Sada was interviewed by Terry Law (Sada’s preferred format), and together they told how last week ABC news spiked their interview and the story confirming Saddam’s taped conversations about WMDs and how they could kill 100,000 Americans with nerve gas. Sada was supposed to appear on World News Tonight and Nightline, but ABC clearly does not want President Bush to be proven right about weapons of mass destruction. Still, there’s a plan to get the information to other networks, so be on the lookout for it. [Emphasis mine-RW]

The Softer Side of General Sada

One little scoop to go: Watch the news over the next few months for more on the “Saddam tapes” that ABC so lightly covered two weeks back. Both ABC and CNN have in fact spiked the truth, that Saddam spoke with Tariq Aziz at length about the use of chemical weapons against the USA, and referred to both the French and Germans as willing partners in covering up his past shenanigans. Now it’s time for both networks to either come clean or be exposed.
I think a good blogswarm would help, so here’s a call to Kobayashi Maru, Michelle Malkin, Hugh Hewitt, Hootsbuddy’s Place, GrannyTiger’s Reality Check, and others: (1) Start poking around about those Saddam tapes; (2) ask ABC why they spiked General Sada’s interview regarding the tapes; (3) ask CNN why they didn’t treat them seriously when UN weapons inspectors gave them to them a couple of years back. That should get you started. Oh, and one more thing: The General will not be the only one talking about the tapes. [Emphasis mine-RW]

I have no doubt that Saddam would have used biological/chemical/nuclear weapons against us.  So all that “Bush lied about WMDs” crap the MSM and their friendly neighborhood moonbats want you to believe?  Yeah. Right.

Go on over to Jim’s blog and read the whole thing.  Then get a copy of Saddam’s Secrets.
